It's the exact same passport all Americans are issued, except yours will say "noncitizen".  Even the passport application acknowledges there are TWO types of Americans: citizens and noncitizens.  If you already have your passport, you are going to "lose" it and apply with these changes.  If you don't have a passport yet, the steps are the same.
